At LLU Research and Development is at the heart of the University's teaching and learning strategy. LLU Offers postgraduate programsin the diversified fields of Computer Science, Commerce, Economics, Education, Islamic Studies, Linguistics, Literature, Management Sciences, Mass Communication and Mathematics. LLU being a learning organization focused on knowledge creation and knowledge sharing at all levels, having more than 3000 students from all over Pakistan, with more than 50% are enrolled in MS Leading to PhD programs. These facts signifies that need of higher education is expanding and worth attracting for the higher education institutions to be a research orientated University. This trend will surely result in more indigenous theories, paradigms and contextualize knowledge for Pakistan. LLU provides the excellent learning culture for research scholars to sharpen their qualitative and quantitative research skills with the value added help from more than 25 PhD faculty members having diversified research expertise.

As steward of the university’s externally and internally funded research portfolio, the Office will be responsible for ensuring that all research proposals and projects adhere to LLU academic and research policies and meet its obligations to sponsors. Thestrengthen office will coordinate with local and international funding agencies and donors for securing grants, scholarships, and funds for institutional support and development. The expansion of knowledge and its dissemination through research and scholarly studies are integral to LLU mission as an educational institution. Accordingly, faculty members are encouraged and are expected to undertake fundamental and primary research of interest to them and to comply with research guidelines of University and funding agency.
